Shop under constructionThe catalogue and prices are already up to date, but we are not taking orders yet. Need a bearing now — write to us.

Returns and complaints

A bearing has to match both the seat and the operating conditions. If something does not fit — here is how we sort it out.

Consumer returns

If you buy as a consumer, you have the statutory right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of delivery, without giving a reason. The goods must be complete and unused — a bearing that has been mounted cannot be returned, because mounting changes its condition.

Business returns

Business-to-business sales are not covered by the statutory right of withdrawal. We accept returns of catalogue items from stock by prior arrangement, provided they are unused and in original packaging.

Items brought in to individual order and non-standard positions are, as a rule, non-returnable — we order them specifically for you. Please make sure the symbol is correct before ordering; if in doubt, we will help you select it.

Complaints

  • Report a complaint through the contact form or by e-mail, quoting the order number and the bearing symbol.
  • Describe the symptoms: noise, run-out, overheating, grease leakage, damage found after removal. Photographs speed things up considerably.
  • For transport damage, attach photographs of the packaging — carriers only accept documented claims.
  • Material defects are handled under the manufacturer's warranty; where needed we send the bearing to Schaeffler for damage analysis.

The most common cause of a „faulty bearing” is a mounting error or selection for the wrong operating conditions — shaft run-out, overload, wrong grease, pressing through the rolling elements. If you are unsure, describe the application before buying; it is cheaper than replacing the whole assembly after a failure.
